Question 1

What is iVisited?

Accepted Answer

iVisited is a digital travel archive. Save My Place free anytime with photos on your 3D atlas and timeline, or verify a listed destination and claim a Verified Digital Travel Achievement PDF you can keep and share.

Question 2

How does iVisited work?

Accepted Answer

Two paths: (1) Save My Place, pin a personal spot with live GPS and an optional photo, free, on your atlas and timeline. (2) Choose a catalogue destination, prove you are there with live GPS or a geotagged photo, then finish checkout for a certificate. See How it works.

Question 3

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes to Save My Place, verify, claim certificates, use packages or gifts, and manage your profile. You can browse destinations without signing in.

Question 4

How old do I need to be?

Accepted Answer

You must be at least 16, or the digital-consent age in your country if that is higher. Details are in Terms of use.

Question 5

How do I find a destination?

Accepted Answer

Open Destinations and search or filter by continent, country, city, or tag. Countries and Cities list places in that area.

Question 6

What is Around Me?

Accepted Answer

Around Me uses your live location to show places you can verify now, destinations nearby, and everything in your city. You can also open Save My Place from there to pin a personal spot free. Location is used for that display and is not stored without your action.

Question 7

What do Available now, Nearby, and In city mean?

Accepted Answer

Available now means you are inside that destination’s own verification range. Nearby uses a distance filter (1 km, 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, 25 km). In city lists other catalogue places in the same city.

Question 8

Can I save a place for later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add a catalogue destination to Planned from the destination page. Planned is only a shortlist; you still need to visit and verify before you can claim a certificate. For a free personal pin right now, use Save My Place instead.

Question 9

What is Save My Place?

Accepted Answer

Save My Place lets you pin any spot with live GPS, a name you choose, and an optional photo. It is free. Pins appear on your personal 3D atlas and chronological timeline as a digital travel archive you can share. They are not certificates and do not count toward badges. See How it works.

Question 10

Is there a map?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use Destinations map for the catalogue, and Show on map in Around Me when your location is on. A 3D atlas shows the public globe of catalogue places. Your own Profile → Atlas holds certified visits and Save My Place pins on a globe and timeline you can share.

Question 11

How do I verify a visit?

Accepted Answer

Open the destination while you are there and run a live GPS check. If GPS cannot confirm the range, upload an original camera photo that still has location metadata.

Question 12

How does live GPS verification work?

Accepted Answer

Your browser shares a high-accuracy location. You must be inside that destination’s verification radius. A successful check is stored as Live GPS for 30 minutes so you can finish checkout.

Question 13

What if GPS fails or I deny location access?

Accepted Answer

Live GPS cannot complete without permission or a fix inside the range. Upload a geotagged original photo instead, or retry outdoors with a clearer sky.

Question 14

How does photo verification work?

Accepted Answer

Upload an original camera file up to 25 MB. iVisited reads EXIF GPS and the original date; coordinates must fall inside the destination range. Screenshots, AI images, and chat re-saves are rejected because they strip GPS.

Question 15

How long do I have after a successful check?

Accepted Answer

You have 30 minutes to finish claiming. After that you must verify again.

Question 16

Can I verify several photos from a past trip?

Accepted Answer

When the travel photo upload page is enabled, open Verify travel photos and upload original camera photos. iVisited matches iVisited places from each photo’s location. You do not need to be on site for that flow.

Question 17

How many travel photos can I upload at once?

Accepted Answer

Up to 10 original photos per batch, each up to 25 MB. Clear matches are selected for you; if more than one place fits, you choose. One destination uses one photo.

Question 18

How do I get a certificate?

Accepted Answer

Verify the destination, then complete checkout with welcome free, gift credit, package credit, or payment. You receive a designed PDF with your name, the place, a certificate number, and a QR code.

Question 19

Where do I view my certificates?

Accepted Answer

Profile → Certificates. From there you can open the public record, download the PDF, and share.

Question 20

How do I download or share a certificate?

Accepted Answer

Use Download PDF on the certificate card, or copy the public record link. Connected accounts can also see certificates you share with them.

Question 21

Can I change the photo or name after it is issued?

Accepted Answer

No. Verification details and the certificate image cannot be edited later. A profile name change applies only to certificates you create afterwards.

Question 22

What does the QR code do?

Accepted Answer

It opens the public verification page on a short unguessable link, so anyone can confirm the record.

Question 23

What is a welcome free certificate?

Accepted Answer

New accounts start with 1 welcome free right by default. After a successful verification it covers one destination claim with no card charge.

Question 24

In what order are rights used?

Accepted Answer

Welcome free first, then gift credits, then package credits, then paid checkout. A gift or package lot that does not have enough remaining credit for that destination is skipped; credits are not split across lots for one claim.

Question 25

Do packages use a destination credit value?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Gift and package claims subtract that destination’s credit cost (at least 1). Welcome free uses one welcome right, not that credit amount.

Question 26

What kinds of packages are there?

Accepted Answer

Trip packs are a set number of credits with a validity period. Travel passes are timed packs with a credit allowance. Current trip packs: Mini, 3 credits, 3 years, €11.99; Explorer, 6 credits, 3 years, €21.99; Traveller, 10 credits, 3 years, €34.99; Collector, 20 credits, 3 years, €59.99

Question 27

Which travel passes are on sale?

Accepted Answer

Current timed packs: Weekly Pass, 10 credits, 7 days, €32.99; Monthly Pass, 25 credits, 1 month, €39.99; Quarterly Pass, 60 credits, 3 months, €59.99 Buy from Packages.

Question 28

How do remaining credits and expiry work?

Accepted Answer

Checkout uses your oldest active lot first. When a lot expires, leftover credits in that lot can no longer be used.

Question 29

Can I use package credits on any destination?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on any available destination, if the lot still has enough remaining credits and has not expired. You still need GPS or photo verification first.

Question 30

Where do I see my packages?

Accepted Answer

Profile → Packages shows active lots. New packs are purchased on Packages.

Question 31

How do I buy a single certificate?

Accepted Answer

After verification, if welcome free, gift, or package rights do not cover the claim, you pay that destination’s list price. There is no cart — one destination at a time, except the travel-photo batch checkout.

Question 32

Which payment methods are supported?

Accepted Answer

Checkout uses the provider routed for your country and product. That may be Paddle, card via iyzico, or another enabled provider. iVisited does not store full card numbers.

Question 33

How do Paddle payments work?

Accepted Answer

Paddle opens a hosted or overlay checkout. Your order stays pending until Paddle confirms payment. The certificate, package, or gift is created after that confirmation.

Question 34

How is tax or VAT handled?

Accepted Answer

Checkout amounts are in EUR. If iVisited adds tax, it uses your country rate, then Türkiye, then 20%. Paddle typically adds its own tax, so iVisited does not add a second tax on Paddle charges.

Question 35

Will I get a PDF invoice?

Accepted Answer

iVisited does not issue a separate PDF invoice in the app. Profile → Payments lists claims, packages, and gifts you sent.

Question 36

What if payment fails or I leave checkout?

Accepted Answer

A declined or abandoned charge does not create a paid order or certificate. If the 30-minute proof window has ended, verify again and retry.

Question 37

Where can I get help with a purchase?

Accepted Answer

Profile → Help Desk can look at the order, package, or gift on your account. For anything else, send a short message from there.

Question 38

How do I change my name or photo?

Accepted Answer

Profile → Account. You can update first name, last name, phone, country, city, and profile photo. Future certificates use this name.

Question 39

Can I change my email?

Accepted Answer

No. Email is used for sign-in and cannot be changed in the account form.

Question 40

How do I change my password?

Accepted Answer

While signed in, open Profile → Account → Change password. New passwords must be at least 8 characters. If you cannot sign in, use Forgot password; the email link lasts 1 hour.

Question 41

What is my account number for?

Accepted Answer

Connections can find you by email or account number when sending a Family, Friends, or Couples invite.

Question 42

How do friend invites work?

Accepted Answer

Profile → Invite friends. Your friend must register with the invite link and the same email. You then receive +1 welcome free right, up to 5 invite rewards. Invite rewards are separate from the welcome free right.

Question 43

When can I resend an invite?

Accepted Answer

Reminder sending unlocks 5 days after the last send. Cancelled invites or a mismatched email do not grant a reward.

Question 44

How do I send gift credits?

Accepted Answer

Buy a gift pack (1 credit for €4.99; 3 credits for €12.99; 5 credits for €19.99; 10 credits for €34.99) for a connection or an email invite. You cannot gift yourself. Delivered credits appear in the recipient’s Profile → Gifts and apply automatically at checkout after welcome free.

Question 45

Do gifts expire if we end a connection?

Accepted Answer

Delivered gift credits stay with the recipient. Gift-backed invites cannot be cancelled.

Question 46

What are Family, Friends, and Couples connections?

Accepted Answer

They are optional links between two iVisited accounts. Each person keeps their own login. The types are Family, Friends, and Couples.

Question 47

How do I create or accept a connection?

Accepted Answer

Profile → Connections. Send an invite by email or account number. Only the invited person can accept or decline. Nothing is shared until they accept.

Question 48

What is shared after we connect?

Accepted Answer

After accept, certificates you share can appear on the other person’s Certificates, Atlas, and timeline. Atlas → Manage connections controls personal and public atlas sharing.

Question 49

How do I remove a connection?

Accepted Answer

Either person can end it. Shared views stop. Delivered gifts remain.

Question 50

How do badges work?

Accepted Answer

Badges follow your own active certificate count: Beginner 1-5, Explorer 6-9, Traveller 10-19, Collector 20-99, Atlas 100+. Save My Place pins and shared or revoked certificates do not count. No application is needed. See Traveller badges.

Question 51

What is my Atlas?

Accepted Answer

Profile → Atlas is your 3D globe and timeline of certified visits and Save My Place pins: a personal digital travel archive. You can share a public hashed link. It is not the same as the catalogue 3D atlas.

Question 52

What is the travel timeline?

Accepted Answer

Beside the globe, Profile → Atlas includes a chronological timeline of your certified visits and saved places. It is part of the same shareable travel history as the 3D atlas.

Question 53

What is Journal?

Accepted Answer

Journal publishes travel stories and ideas. It does not issue certificates. Traveller stories on the home page are published quotes, not certificates.

Question 54

What is My Gallery?

Accepted Answer

Photos you chose to save during photo verification. GPS-only checks do not add a gallery photo. You can filter by country or city and delete items; the certificate PDF copy remains.

Question 55

How is my live location used?

Accepted Answer

Location is requested in the browser to check verification range, power Around Me, and Save My Place pins. It is not sold to data brokers. Denying permission blocks live GPS verification and Save My Place. See Privacy policy.

Question 56

What happens to photos I upload?

Accepted Answer

Verification photos are not kept in My Gallery unless you opt in. A certificate face photo is stored for the PDF. Public record and atlas pages can show destination details.

Question 57

Who can see my certificates?

Accepted Answer

Anyone with the public record or atlas link. Connected accounts see what you share. Cookie use is described in the Cookie policy.

Question 58

How do I get help?

Accepted Answer

Profile → Help Desk. Pick a topic to see an instant answer. Opening an answer does not create a support ticket.

Question 59

When does a support message open?

Accepted Answer

Only if you still need help and choose Send a message. Keep messages between 8 and 500 characters. Do not paste card numbers or passwords.

Question 60

How is this FAQ different from Help Desk?

Accepted Answer

This page is the public guide. Help Desk can fill in your own orders, certificates, and packages when you need account-specific help.
