Terms of use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of iVisited at https://i-visited.com, including our websites, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are
iVisited provides location-aware travel experiences that let travellers verify presence near selected destinations and claim a Verified Digital Travel Achievement, shareable public records, and travel-atlas features.
Contact for legal notices: legal@i-visited.com.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of registration details and for keeping login credentials confidential.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, abuse location verification, attempt payment fraud, or interfere with other users or the Service.
3. The Service
The Service may include, without limitation:
- Browsing destinations, countries, and journal content
- On-site GPS range checks to unlock certificate eligibility
- Checkout for certificate purchases and downloadable PDFs
- Public verification pages and shareable travel atlases
- Account tools for certificates, orders, and planned places
Features may change over time. Some destinations, pricing, or availability may differ by region.
4. Location verification
Certificates are designed around honest presence at a destination. When you run a location check, the Service compares your device-reported coordinates with the destination’s published range.
You agree not to spoof, forge, or manipulate location data, device settings, or network conditions to obtain a certificate without being present. Circumvention may lead to certificate invalidation and account action.
Location accuracy depends on your device, permissions, GPS/Wi-Fi conditions, and browser capabilities. A failed check does not guarantee you were outside the range, and a successful check does not create any government, visa, or legal residency proof.
5. Certificates, purchases, and licences
When you complete a paid claim, you receive a personal digital certificate (and related public record where enabled). Unless stated otherwise, certificates are licensed for personal, non-commercial use: display, download, and share your own visit record.
You may not resell certificates, mass-produce derivatives, or present an iVisited certificate as official government documentation. Destination names, imagery, and brand assets remain owned by their respective rights holders and by iVisited as applicable.
Prices are shown before payment. Taxes, card fees, or currency conversion may apply depending on your provider. Except where required by law, digital certificate purchases are generally non-refundable once issued.
6. Public pages and sharing
Public verification links and atlas pages are intended to be shareable. Do not publish content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringing. We may remove or unpublish public pages that violate these Terms or applicable law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Probe, scan, or disrupt the Service or related networks
- Scrape the Service in a way that overloads or bypasses controls
- Upload malware or attempt unauthorised access
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with iVisited
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Travel information, destination descriptions, and maps are for inspiration and product use; they are not professional travel, safety, or legal advice. Always follow local laws and site rules at real-world destinations.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, iVisited and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to iVisited for certificates in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) fifty euros (€50).
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by revising the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, except where local law requires additional notice or consent.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place of establishment of the iVisited operator, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected.
